International Tourism in Brazil Grows 48% in the First Quarter of 2025, says UNWTO

Between January and June 2025, Brazil received over 5.3 million foreign visitors, surpassing destinations such as Chile, Ecuador, and Curaçao. With this performance, it ranks 2nd worldwide in tourism growth, only behind Paraguay.

This number already represents 77.3% of the National Tourism Plan’s target for 2025 and indicates that the country may surpass 8.1 million tourists still in 2025, exceeding the forecast for 2027.

Brazil attracts tourists not only for its cultural diversity, natural beauty, and climate, but also for the various residency options available, which may vary according to the profile and characteristics of each foreigner. Whether for investment, entrepreneurship, family ties, or seeking quality of life, the country offers a range of legal pathways for those who wish to visit or even establish a longer stay.
